New Show/Updates

We've finally booked our second show, and it's pretty soon. We are going back to Cicero's for the first time in quite awhile. I've always really enjoyed playing there, great sound both on stage and in the house. Plus, pizza for the bands. We're playing with Motopony from Seattle, The Mhurs and Carriage House, both from St. Louis. Motopony are pretty sweet, and we've heard great things about the Mhurs for quite some time now (i think they got some RFT award nominations, maybe a win?). It should be a lot of fun.

It's been a pretty slow two months since the Indie Rock Ice Cream Show ridiculousness. We had to move out of our studio space due to the unfortunate break-up of the two bands we were sharing it with. This has lead us to moving back into my basement, but we are going to try to find some new warehouse space somewhere soon. The room is just too small. Really low ceilings make the sound all muddy, we've had a hard time hearing everything at times, especially once Chris really gets going with his loops.

Speaking of loops, we are all discussing buying new loop pedals so all 3 of us have the same type, and they can be synced so everyone is perfectly looped together. Pretty ridiculous. Right now only Chris has a loop pedal and I run things through my compy. I can't really imagine what it might sound like with all three of us.

Chris and I have started leaving CDs around St. Louis wherever we think people may find them and take one. We've actually already had some great responses. We really weren't sure if they would get picked up at all. We used some shitty paper sleeves that were very wrinkly, and it all looked pretty bad. People do love free things though. We just ordered a ton of cases to get ready for the show and to leave a better looking product for people to take.

Someone who found one of the CD's contacted us about maybe making a video for one of the songs. We'll see where that goes, but we are excited about the possibility.

Hope to see you guys at the show.

Love,
Nate
